Collapsible mesh stillage cage measuring 1150 × 1150 × 1120mm. Stacks, racks and folds flat when empty, so the same cage stores your stock and then stores itself. Blue powder-coated steel with a half-height drop gate for picking without unstacking.

Stillage Mesh Stack Up Rackable Cage

One cage that stacks, racks, and folds flat

Most storage cages solve one problem and create another: they hold your stock beautifully, then sit in the corner eating floor space the moment they are empty. This one collapses. The four mesh sides fold down onto the base, and the cage drops to a fraction of its standing height — so empty units stack on top of each other in a footprint you can actually spare.

At 1150 × 1150 × 1120mm it is built around the standard Australian pallet footprint, and it is rackable straight into conventional pallet racking. Loose, awkward and irregular stock that would slide off a flat pallet stays contained, visible through the mesh, and countable without opening anything.

Key specifications

  • Overall size: 1150 × 1150 × 1120mm (L × W × H)
  • Collapsible: mesh sides fold flat onto the base when empty
  • Rackable: yes — suits standard pallet racking
  • Construction: welded steel mesh sides on a heavy-duty steel base frame
  • Base: solid steel deck — no small parts falling through
  • Finish: blue powder coat
  • Forklift and pallet jack compatible via the base frame openings

Built for the way a warehouse actually runs

The front panel carries a half-height drop gate. Open it and you can pick from the bottom of a stacked cage without breaking the stack down first — which is the difference between a thirty-second job and a forklift movement. Corner posts carry locating feet that seat into the cage below, so a stack sits square and stays square rather than creeping under vibration.

Two label holders are welded to the mesh — one on the gate, one on the panel — so stock identification travels with the cage instead of living on a sticker that falls off in the rain.

Where it earns its keep

Manufacturing WIP between stations. Returns and reverse logistics, where volumes swing and you need the empties out of the way. Seasonal retail stock. Parts storage in workshops. Anywhere a pallet alone will not hold the load together.

Safe stacking guidelines

  • Distribute the load evenly across the base — do not concentrate weight in one corner
  • Never stack a loaded cage on top of an empty one
  • Place the heaviest cages at the bottom of any stack
  • Confirm the locating feet are fully seated before releasing the forks
  • Do not exceed the rated stack height, and reduce it on uneven or sloped surfaces
