Description
8 m of black powder-coated long span shelving, 2 m high and 600 mm deep, rated to 4800 kg across 4 bays. This is the BS2060 — an extra-large bracket plate and re-cut upright holes, so the beams clip in squarely and stay put.
How the run is made up
- 4 bays — 2 m + 2 m + 2 m + 2 m
- Four adjustable shelf levels in every bay
- 5 upright frames — one more than the number of bays, because neighbouring bays share one
- Beams 2 m, one pair per level
- Shelf panels 1 m × 600 mm, two per level
Because the bays share their uprights, the finished run measures a little under 8 m rather than exactly 8 m. Worth knowing if you are fitting it between two walls.
How to read the load rating
1200 kg is the rating for one bay, so 4800 kg for the 4 bays together, with the weight spread evenly across all four levels. Concentrating a load on one level, or in the middle of a span, is a different question — tell us what you are storing and we will give you the figure for it.
Why this one
The BS2060 sits between the garage shelving most people buy and a warehouse rack: black powder coat rather than blue, a deeper bracket, and enough capacity for engine parts, full toolboxes and pallet-weight loads without going to pallet racking. Compare it against anything of its type before you buy — the bracket and the upright are where the difference is, and both are visible in the photographs.
Extra levels are sold separately in 2 m to match this unit, and bays can be added to either end later.
