Description
4.5 m of the 1600 kg series, 2.7 m high and 600 mm deep, rated to 4800 kg across 3 bays. Blue and orange powder coat over a re-designed upright — this is the heaviest of the garage shelving lines and the one that goes into workshops and warehouses as often as garages.
How the run is made up
- 3 bays — 1.5 m + 1.5 m + 1.5 m
- Four adjustable shelf levels in every bay
- Beams 1.5 m, one pair per level
- Shelf panels 0.75 m × 600 mm, two per level
- Upright frames are braced, bolted and supplied with base plates
How to read the load rating
Each level carries 400 kg and each bay 1600 kg, so 4800 kg for the 3 bays together, with the weight spread evenly along the beam. Concentrating a load in the middle of a span is a different question — tell us what you are storing and we will give you the figure for it.
Why this one
Four hundred kilos a level is pallet-racking territory on a shelf you can put up yourself. The upright was redrawn for this series rather than carried over from the lighter lines, which is where the capacity comes from. If you are weighing it against the 800 kg series, the question is what goes on the top level, not the bottom.
Extra levels are sold separately in 1.5 m to match this unit. Add-on bays are available in 1.5 m and 2 m for extending a run without buying a second upright frame.
